Sow to Sew with Ariadne’s Thread Group

Join us in participating with Sow to Sew, a free educational programme of workshops and textile demonstrations run by local community partner Ariadne’s Thread Group. The full programme focuses on cultivating flax and processing it into fibres which subsequently become linen threads for sewing. Stanley Picker Gallery and Kingston School of Art at Kingston University are pleased to be hosting a new exhibition showcasing artwork created by adults with diagnoses of Autism and/or ADHD, initiated by at Your Healthcare CIC. Ilona Sagar Other Actors

Other Actors is a new, three-channel film piece by  Stanley Picker Fellow Ilona Sagar, exploring the links between bodies and buildings, health and architecture through the lens of the Paimio Sanatorium in Finland. Designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto and completed between 1929 and 1933, the sanatorium represents a radical shift in the design for Other Actors
