Ura Matsuri presents a ‘A Tale of a Tub Maker’, performed by Tomoko Komura Saturday 30 November 2024, 11am & 12.30pm (30 mins). Book via Eventbrite ‘A Tale of a Tub Maker’ takes audience members to the Edo period Japan, captivating imaginations in a traditional rakugo style storytelling. The piece will be performed by Tomoko Komura, a London-based actress with experience of staging Japanese Storytelling: A Tale of A Tub Maker

Stanley Picker Gallery is pleased to be re-starting ‘Kantha’s of Friendship’, a community project centred on traditional crafts, textile recycling and cross-cultural collaborations, led by Kingston-based textile group, Ariadne’s Thread. Participation is free, and all are welcome but regular attendance is encouraged. Initial workshops (4 & 11 February) will include a refresh of the kantha stitch Kantha Workshops with Ariadne’s Thread Group

I wonder what we can’t see? is a collaboration between Stanley Picker Gallery and Kingston University Autism Peer Network with United Response and Surbiton Hill Nursery School, Green Class and Support Place pupils. These groups, who are neurodivergent, participated in separate workshops but with a shared inspiration; Thomas Pausz Haunted Ecologies and the examination of I wonder what we can’t see?
