Offsite: 29 September – 2 December 2018

We are very proud to announce that Stanley Picker Fellow Oreet Ashery and recent exhibitor Meriem Bennani are both currently presenting works shown at the Gallery at the 6th Les Ateliers de Rennes in France.

Ashery is showcasing her Jarman Award winning Fellowship commission Revisiting Genesis, a 12-part web-series exploring the philosophical, socio-political, practical and emotional implications of the processes surrounding death and withdrawal, digital afterlives, outsider communities, social networks and reincarnations of women artists. Bennani is presenting Siham & Hafida, an immersive, multi-channel video installation which juxtaposes the raw essence of docu-style TV with surreal digital animations to narrate the intergenerational complexities of evolving cultural forms, embodied by two popular Moroccan chikha singers of different ages.
