To Resonate

To Resonate

08 July – 14 July | Tuesday – Saturday 11-5pm | All Welcome

To Resonate: A series of paired visual and audio works, which explore working between both disicplines. Featuring works by Kingston School of Art Fine Art BA students in response to the To Resonate project run by Stanley Picker Print Tutorship Award 2022/23 artist Ellen Burroughs. Works are presented in two edition runs, a series of postcards, with visual works and QR codes to audio pieces, and a series of cassette tapes that bring all the works together, with handprinted artwork.
The project seeks to address the limits of visual artworks for audiences that are visually impaired, but also encourages KSA students to break down their image making, content, material choices and methods, to investigate how we communicate visually and to challenge ourselves to recreate these ways of working through sound.
This exhibition is the final part of a series of workshops, a larger exhibition and collaborative research.
