Libraries Week: Wellbeing

Saturday 13 October 2018, 11am-5pm

Put down your phones, and get printing!

Free event | Drop-in anytime | Refreshments included

Stepping away from his computer, designer Michael Marriott has turned an old yellow Volvo into a tool for printing, with extracted soot and sump oil becoming dye…

As part of Libraries Week and this year’s theme of wellbeing, students and staff are invited to visit Stanley Picker Gallery to view what remains of the car and the new artworks and objects that have been produced though it’s deconstruction, and to – like Michael – put down their devices and get hands-on, using the designer’s machines to imagine and make their own prints to take home

Visitors are also welcome to relax in our social space, to chat, browse publications, and listen to music.
