Gallery Director David Falkner
After studying Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design (1988-91), David practiced as an artist, exhibiting throughout Europe, before dedicating himself to interdisciplinary curatorial work in public-sector venues in the UK, initially at Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery and Pump House Gallery London, before becoming Director of the Stanley Picker Gallery at Kingston University in 2004. Also supporting innovative practice outside of the Gallery he sits on the Board of Directors of the Live Art collective Duckie.
Programme Curator Stella Bottai
Stella Bottai is an Italian curator based in London. Between 2015-16, she focused on in-depth research and writing towards Goshka Macuga’s solo exhibition and artist monograph at Fondazione Prada, Milan (2016). She was Associate Curator of Over you/you, the 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana (2015) and has previous experience working as Curator, Fiorucci Art Trust, London (2014-15); Assistant Curator, Frieze Projects London (2013-14) and Assistant Curator, Serpentine Galleries Public Programmes (2012). Prior to completing an MA in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art (2013) she worked at White Cube, London (2006-09). She is a review contributor to Mousse Magazine.
Participation Curator Natalie Kay
Natalie is a freelance arts educator, visual artist and Kingston local. She has worked with numerous educational and arts organisations including Engage, 5x5x5=creativity, The Cultural Olympiad London 2012, Dorich House Museum and Kingston Museum. As a visual artist she has exhibited her drawings, embroideries and video work nationwide and has enjoyed residencies both in the UK and Morocco.
Gallery Coordinator Jackie Thomas
A graduate of Art & Design History at Kingston University, Jackie worked as a journalist, interior designer and musician before assuming her current position as Gallery Coordinator. Outside the Gallery she designs and makes book-editions that explore the links between science and art, which she exhibits regularly at fairs around the country, including the Oxford Fine Press Book Fair and the Small Publishers Book Fair in London. Her works are owned by university and private collections in the UK and abroad, including the British Library Contemporary Collection.
